Timber Treatment
For timber requiring preservative treatment, Hawthorn Timber uses industry-leading copper-based solutions (manufactured by a major preservation supplier), and applied via a double-vacuum high-pressure impregnation process.
This treatment allows them to provide timber rated for USE Classes UC1, UC2, UC3 and UC4 – suitable for everything from internal joinery to external cladding, decking, fencing and structural posts in contact with ground.
All treated timber is supplied with a full “Declaration of Performance” and a 15-year Warranty commitment giving assurance of long-term durability and compliance with relevant regulations.
All our treated timber is compliant with BS8417 : 2011 “Preservation of Wood” specification.
On-Site Priming
Helping speed up production processes.
Our Palmer Primer Vacuum Coater applies a single coat to all visible surfaces allowing for complex mouldings like torus / ogee to be coated just as easily as PSE.

PUR Bonding Line
High-Performance Adhesive Technology.
Our PUR bonding line is an advanced production system used to apply Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) adhesives to a variation of substrates, known for exceptional strength and durability, PUR adhesives have become a preferred solution where precision, performance, and long-term reliability are essential.
PUR adhesives are moisture-curing polymers that react with humidity in the air or the substrate. Once cured, they form a highly resilient bond that is resistant to heat, moisture, and mechanical stress. This makes them ideal for producing high-performance structural panels.
Optimized Cross Cutting
Our precision cross cut Weinig machines and Grencon OPTICUT 104R enables us to programme electronically and aids with complex cutting lists.
Our other machines are DIMTER OPITCUT S75, meaning all machines have the capabilities to optimize and reduce the speed of the saw to focus on the finish.
Additional features on the machines being able to calculate the pieces required or even left to finish an order.
Cutting & Edge Profiling
Cut Panels, Tongue & Groove Edge profiling, long, short & all four edges.
Shrink Wrapping
Individual wrapped casings and lining sets are bundled complete ready for site assembly. Capable of wrapping up to 170mm widths x 4800mm lengths.
